Today, in the city of Ioannina took place the first technical meeting of the THEMA Project, “New technologies in the service of developing interregional thematic routes”, co-financed by “Interreg IPA II Cross-border Cooperation Programme “Greece – Albania 2014 – 2020”. The Regional Center for Development and Cooperation is partner in this project with the Development Agency of Epirus, Ioannina Region Hotels Association, The Prefecture of Gjirokastra and the Albanian National Tourism Agency. THEMA aims to promote cultural and alternative tourism forms on the two sides of Greece-Albania border, as well as raising the touristic flow in terms of thematic tourism, through new and innovative technologies.
